Have questions? I answer the most common questions I get asked. Don’t see your question? Contact me. I’m happy to answer any and all questions.
Expect that all the planning and styling has been done before your session!
Once you book with me and pay your deposit we will set the wheels in motion!
The first thing we will do is schedule your pre-shoot consult. I will send you a few forms and questionnaires to help me and my team style your session. After we have determined styling we will schedule your session. We will make sure you have plenty of time to gather all the clothing and accessories you want to for your shoot.
I will send you a preparation guide and a packing check list prior to your shoot to help you be more prepared. The more prepared you are the, the more confident you will feel during your shoot.
The day of your shoot, you will show up for hair and makeup. We will style you for the looks we discussed in your pre-shoot consult.
During your shoot I will guide you every step of the way. Posing, styling and lighting you for the mood of your boudoir story.
Your session will take place in my home studio in Oklahoma City. I have a private dedicated studio space with additional rooms and you’ll literally feel right at home!
Exact location will be provided to you once you’ve confirmed your session with payment and client information form.
You can expect a shoot to take anywhere between 4-5 hours.
Makeup and hair can take up to 1.5 hours depending on the complexity of the style we have chosen.
The photography portion takes an additional 2 hours, usually never going over 3 hours. If more technical lighting setups are required, it can take a little longer. We are also stopping to change outfits periodically and retouching makeup and hair. Not to mention working through nerves. It all adds up. This is why I ask you do not plan anything else the day of your shoot. I want you as calm and relaxed as possible.
Due to the nature of intimate attire, and differences in body types, sizes, and personal modesty levels, we highly recommend bringing your own lingerie.
Sessions include 3 outfits and the option of nudes/implied nudes.
If you want to add more outfits to you session, you may do so for $150 per outfit. This fee includes additional photography and processing time. Please arrange this with me PRIOR to the day of your session because it impacts my schedule.
Sexy isn’t always about being nude. There are many things you can wear and still exude sexy. Including but not limited to bodysuits, lingerie, big sweater, a simple tank top, the list goes on! You are only limited by your imagination!
Keep in mind, most nude boudoir photography is done as “implied nudes”. This is basically nude photography in which you are still covered in some way.
Yes! Editing is about refining not reinventing!
My goal in retouching is to polish your images to magazine quality, but never to make you look like someone else.
Beyond my art, the amount of retouching is ultimately up to you and we discuss this in your styling consult.
Though everyone that steps foot in my studio becomes a model, I do not expect you to be a professional model. I will not just throw you in front of the camera and expect you to know what to do. I will guide you through posing and expression to make sure that you look better than you ever thought possible in every photo.
Sometimes the best action is to leap first and look later. Remember fear is a liar. When your insecurities are getting in the way of what you most want, LEAP!
I do everything possible to help you feel comfortable. Keep in mind, you may reveal as little or as much as you want during your session. I have no desire to talk you into anything that makes you uncomfortable.
During your session, it usually only takes a few minutes to warm up to the whole process and you realize it’s really not as bad as you thought. And actually, as you begin to loosen up you will have the time of your life!
Still unsure? I can offer references if you’d like.
A talented photographer truly can change your perception about whether or not you are “photogenic”. Strategic use of lighting, camera angles, posing, wardrobe, makeup, and sets can help create gorgeous photos of any woman that she will quite simply fall in love with!
Real women are NOT perfect…but here’s a little secret, neither are models! They just work with great photographers, stylists, makeup artists, and advanced retouchers, and now you can work with the same top professionals!
No matter your age, your body type or your ethnicity – there is no difference between a model and yourself in my studio.
You’re welcome to bring one friend. But, please keep in mind that, even a best friend can be distracting because the attention isn’t completely on you. For some people, this tension can makes posing more difficult and result in sub-par photo results. That said, if you still want to bring a friend to feel comfortable, please make it a female friend. Boyfriends, husbands, or other male companions are NOT permitted on the shoot unless they are part of it.
You may also want to take advantage of our awesome “Share with your Bestie” deal where if you come in together for same-day sessions, you each get an additional $100 credit toward your final purchase.
If your friend, partner or husband wants to meet me to ensure you are safe, they are welcome to come and meet me as you’re arriving!
Part of my artistry takes place in the post production process (editing). With that being said, I ask that you expect 4-6 weeks for image delivery. (6 weeks if you purchase print products – albums, canvas, etc)
Be sure to keep this in mind when considering your best session date. Ideally, it is best to schedule your session for at least 6 weeks before you need your final images.
There is an additional charge for rush delivery of finished photos (anyone requiring finished photos in less than 4 weeks from the date of your shoot).
Every session includes complimentary professional makeup and hair styling. My photo-artistic styling professionals understand the difference between makeup for every day and makeup for glamour photography. They know how the lights are going to affect your makeup, and they know how to create hair looks that will look beautiful in a variety of poses and that will last throughout your shoot.
My professional hair and makeup artists and I work together as a team to style your session. There are too many things that can go wrong when using an outside source for your hair and makeup. To insure quality in your final images, hair and makeup must be done with my professional team.
Sessions are 100% private and images are NEVER shared anywhere without your written permission by signing a model release. All clients are given the opportunity to sign a model release (or NOT). If you don’t sign it, we don’t show, share, or post.
For all bookings, the session fee is paid as a non-refundable retainer required to hold your shoot date. Payment of the session retainer can be made with cash (if local), any major credit card over the phone, via our online booking portal, or through Paypal.
Image purchases are separate and may be paid the day of your image reveal by major credit card or cash. Layaway payment plans are available as well. Please call for details. Payment plan details will not be discussed via email, only over the phone.
If you provide more than 30 days notice, you may transfer the portion of the session fee you’ve already paid to a future date within 60 days of your original session date.
If you contact me to reschedule with less than 30 days notice, you forget about your appointment or you reschedule more than once, the portion of the session fee that you’ve already paid is not transferable. When you sign the contract, I’m blocking that day and paying a makeup artist to block their calendar. I’m also turning away people interested in shooting that day.
Due to the custom nature of photography, the session fee and anything you purchase is non-refundable.
