Frequently Asked Questions
Curious about how energy healing works? Whether you're new to this or looking for deeper understanding, here are answers to common questions about the process, what to expect, and how sessions—both in person and at a distance—can support your healing and alignment.
How do I know if I have energy blockages?
If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, fatigued, or disconnected from yourself, chances are your energy isn’t flowing optimally. Many people don’t realize how much they’re holding until they experience a shift.
What happens in a one-on-one session?
During a session, I use tuning forks and sound healing tools (such as a gong) to scan and harmonize your biofield. You may lie on a massage table or sit comfortably while I work around your body and sometimes directly on specific points. The process encourages energetic and physical release, helping to restore balance.
Can I feel energy moving during a session?
Everyone experiences it differently—some feel warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation, while others notice emotional or mental clarity afterward. The shifts can be subtle or profound, but they are always working at the level your system is ready for.
What if I don’t feel anything during a session?
Sensations vary from person to person, but shifts happen whether or not you consciously feel them. Many notice changes in mood, clarity, or body tension in the days following a session.
Can I feel emotions releasing?
Absolutely. Sound vibrations help process and clear stored emotional energy. You might feel emotions rise and then pass, similar to a wave. This is a natural part of the healing process and can lead to profound relief and clarity.
Can this help with physical pain or emotional stress?
Yes, many experience relief from both as energy blockages release. While not a replacement for medical treatment, this work helps restore balance, allowing the body to naturally realign and self-correct.
How will I feel afterward?
Most people feel lighter, clearer, and deeply relaxed. Some notice improved posture, reduced pain, or a sense of emotional relief. Others may feel a bit tired as their system integrates the shifts—this is normal and usually passes within a day or two.
Are there any side effects?
Most people feel great, but some experience detox-like symptoms such as mild headaches, fatigue, or temporary emotional waves. This is part of the body’s natural clearing process and usually resolves quickly.
Who Should Avoid or Use Caution with Energy Healing?
Spinal Flow has NO contraindications, but sound must be used with care in some situations.
If You’re Unwilling or Resistant to the Process
Energy work requires openness. If someone is skeptical to the point of resistance, they may not experience the full benefits.
If You Have a Severe Mental Health Condition That Requires Medical Supervision
While energy work can be supportive, it is not a replacement for medical or psychiatric care. Those experiencing conditions like schizophrenia, severe dissociation, or untreated psychosis should consult with a healthcare provider before engaging in energy work.
If You’re in the Immediate Aftermath of a Major Trauma and Not Ready to Process
Energy healing can bring up suppressed emotions. If someone has recently experienced deep trauma and isn’t ready to process it, they may benefit from stabilization with a trauma-informed therapist first.
If You Are Looking for a Quick Fix Without Personal Integration
Energy work facilitates shifts, but integration is key. If someone is seeking a "one-and-done" fix without openness to reflection or change, results may feel temporary or incomplete.
If You Have a Pacemaker or Medical Implant (For Certain Modalities)
Some sound-based or frequency-based healing modalities may not be suitable for those with implanted medical devices. It’s important to discuss this beforehand.
If You Are Pregnant (For Certain Techniques)
Some energetic modalities, especially deep nervous system work or vibrational tuning, should be approached with care during pregnancy. Always consult with a practitioner first.
If You Have Epilepsy or Sensory Sensitivities (For Sound-Based Work)
Certain frequencies and sound vibrations may trigger sensitivities. If you have epilepsy, sensory processing disorders, or neurological conditions, it’s best to consult beforehand.
Energy work is a powerful tool for transformation, but it’s not a substitute for medical or psychological care when those are needed. If you're unsure whether a session is right for you, reach out for guidance.

Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! Distance sessions work surprisingly well, as sound frequencies and intention can influence the biofield even remotely.
How does distance energy healing actually work?
Energy is not limited by physical space. Using sound frequencies, energetic signaling, and focused awareness, your biofield and nervous system respond just as they would in person, allowing for deep shifts and recalibration.
How long is a session?
Sessions typically last 60 minutes. Spinal Activation only sessions are 30 minutes. I like to leave 10-15 minutes for discussion before and after.
How many sessions do I need?
It depends on your goals. Some people feel significant shifts in one session, while others benefit from a series, especially for deeper patterns.
How do I get the most out of a session?
Approach it with an open mind, stay hydrated afterward, and give yourself space to notice any shifts—subtle or profound—in the days that follow.
